Scheduling Your Workouts

In the past, when I scheduled workouts, I was much more likely to go actually workout! And I was even more likely to go if I had a personal training session because that is ACTUALLY scheduled. Either way, I find that when I spend Sunday looking at the week and putting fitness on my schedule, I am going to make it happen.

We are all busy and having a calendar will help you greatly in planning your workouts. I recommend Google Calendar. If you have other calendar apps that you love, let me know in the comments! Use your calendar, both work and personal, to decide what days, and when you will workout. Then you will want to figure out what you are actually going to do in your workout.

If you have a gym membership, and they offer classes, I recommend trying out a few classes to see what you like. If you aren’t into group fitness, then try some of the different machines in the club. If you are lacking a gym membership, then I recommend you try some home workout DVD’s.
