Walking through the doors of the Omni Shoreham in Washington D.C. You will notice one thing: grandeur! The chandeliers sparkle like a brand new Tiffany engagement ring. The lobby is filled with people bustling around with energy of a two year old after 3 cupcakes.
But the energy in the air is from all the excitement around the Anytime Fitness conference. The room is filled with toned men, skinny fit women and the corporate staff (including myself) who have plastered a permanent smile on their face for the weekend.
The hotel rooms don’t hold back anything. Their size and comfort are everywhere. The bed begs you to lay. The bathroom wants you to look pretty and the tv practically turns it’s HD self on. It doesn’t hurt that our room over look the Washington monument and the hotel pool.
But every room in the hotel has some form of prestige and power associated with DC. You just know that when JFK and Jackie had their first date here, it must have been speical. And it still is.
