Christmas cards are still alive today. People spend hundreds of dollars on a photographer and then a designer to make the card just perfect. Well, in my world, that is just not possible. I don’t have endless resources to spend money on my Christmas cards. And I bet you don’t either.
So how can you make the best christmas cards without putting your entire christmas budget into it? Easy. Follow these tips!

The Right Photo
You don’t have to get a photographer. You just need your camera. Don’t have a camera? See if a coworker, friend, or family member can borrow you their’s! Taking a photo of your family is the fun part. Make funny faces, do a jumping pose, or just laugh. The old style family photos that are posed are boring! And by showing your family having fun, your friends will see you at your best. Set your camera on a tripod or a steady surface, set the timer (see camera’s manual), and smile (or giggle).
Timing
Many websites and local stores have discounts on their cards and you just have to make sure you find the deals. See, most of the time, the first two weeks in December is the best time to order your cards. Remember you will also need to send the cards before Christmas, so sign and mail quickly!
Card Design and Costs
Depending on your budget will be the websites to look at. Of course, I love Costco’s options. They have a custom setting which is lovely for me because I love to design my cards on my own. But if you aren’t as creative (and that is totally cool by me) Costco also offers templates! Other websites I love are minted, shutterfly, and moo!
In the end, you’ll have an amazing Christmas card that will impress everyone. Add in a cute story from the year and you are golden! Enjoy!
