Let’s face it, most of us can’t afford to purchase all of the latest and greatest trends. It’s just not logical in this economy to spend that much money on something that won’t ‘work’ next year or even next spring. Luckily, I found this amazing diagram that has combined both fall and spring trends to bring us the most logical purchases for 2011 that will flow into 2012! How awesome is that?
The trends that I love from the crossover list are:
1. Orange: I lack this color in my wardrobe and will be purchasing a nice classic orange shirt that I can layer with a cute brown cardigan/wrap. Any ideas on where I could purchase said orange shirt on a budget?
2. Peplum: I just bought a lavender peplum dress from marshals, you can see it here. I got it for $30!! And it was the best purchase ever! Peplum is great if you are looking to hide a bit of a tummy (which I am), and it allows for the angles to hit YOU in all the right places!
3. Polka Dots: Some people may think polka dots are a very summery trend, and I disagree. And so did New York Fashion Week this past September! Marc Jacobs specifically picked up the polka this fall!
4. Prints: A cute printed dress will get you far, both in fall and spring! I would love to recommend a vintage dress as that will hopefully add to the savings. Try any of these to get compliments for sure!
What are some of your favorite trends right now?
