Review: Ahnu Sequoia II Hiking Shoes

As winter draws near, I am getting ready to put away my hiking shoes for the year. Luckily, I don’t have to do that quite yet because I am going to Boulder to visit my brother at the beginning of November and I am hoping to get in some hiking with ma mum!

I was recently sent* a pair of Ahnu Hiking Boots, Sequoia II to try on and test out. Read on to learn all about my experience with them so far.

Short and Sweet

These extremely comfortable hiking shoes fit true to size and help support your feet during a hike or just a busy day of walking around. The Vibram bottoms complete the shoes grip to the ground. It’s amazing, no slipage! If you are looking for a solid ladies hiking shoe, check it out!

Ahnu Sequoia II Review

I must admit, my hiking isn’t hardcore. I don’t tend to go to large mountains and just start climbing (I would love to do that but I am limited by the lack of Mountains in Minnesota). So my experience with these shoes are not taken to the “max.” However, when walking with these shoes I noticed how extremely comfortable they were. I was able to go further because of the cushioning. And, to be honest, I feel like I could just wear these everyday (though I doubt they are professional enough).

As I walked through our local hiking area, I noticed how much grip or “gription” I had. I never once felt like I was wearing regular tennis shoes. I loved the feeling and the confidence they brought me.

I would recommend anyone try these shoes as they are very comfortable and that is one of my upmost concerns when hiking. Here or in the mountain regions of Colorado!

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Vibram Outsole
  • True to Size
  • Easy to put on

Cons

  • Cost
  • Color Options

Overall Feelings

If you are looking for a lightweight, comfortable hiking boot this one is for you. Ahnu markets this shoe towards a “lightweight hiker” and I couldn’t agree more. If you are a looking for something a little more “hardcore,” check out their website!

Kelly Moore Posey 2 Review

I have to admit to you that I used to be obsessed with purses. I would spend crazy amounts of money on bags and I had to have had over 30. I rarely switched them, because I am totally lazy. I just decided one day that I didn’t need them and I am totally fine with one or two!

When I started researching camera bags, Pinterest showcased some amazing bags. But it was down to Kelly Moore and Epiphanie. And I did my internal pro/con list.

And while I have never owned an Epiphanie bag (and I am sure they are good), I just love my Kelly Moore. She took the time to make a video explaining why she designed the bag the way she did and how she made improvements on her last design. Simply a great sales tactic. I knew anyone who put that much time into her design, must have a good bag. And man was she right!

The Posey 2 is just a dandy to carry. With both handles and shoulder strap, it’s so versatile!

Look at the space inside!

Things I love
I can use it as a daily purse so I always have my camera with me
It fits everything a purse can hold
There are a bounty of pockets and storage areas
The material is awesome and doesn’t get stained
The shoulder strap makes it awesome for photoshoots

Things I don’t love
It gets heavy (my fault)
Some of the material is ripping off but it’s not imperative to the bag structure

Overall
I would buy this bag again, and I would recommend it to photog and non-photog friends alike. It’s got plenty of room for non camera and camera essentials.

Disclaimer: I am leaving this review out of my personal appreciation as a consumer. I am not being paid in anyways for my words above. I just love things. And I wanted to tell you about this one!

Review: Moo Luxe Business Cards

I wonder do you ever get excited about receiving a package. I do when I see this on the box…

When I open a Moo box, I am never disappointed. They provide such a wonderful product and for what you get, at a great price. I am a big believer in buying it right once and moo offers that.

Short and Sweet
A business card that has an esteem to it. When you pick it up you feel important. Would I recommend them? Heck yeah. If you want to stand out to your clients and company, go with a Moo Luxe card. Hands down.

Wrapped in a beautiful package, with the word “luxe” printed in calligraphy on the top, you automatically feel like a queen getting new baubles. It’s even stamped with the moo logo. These impressed me before I even laid my eyes on them.

And then after opening the magnetic card box you get with the LUXE line, I see this card reading… “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” A quote from the famous Casablanca. Again, I know, I am in for a special treat.

Then, I see, my card! It’s so awesome and colorful. And with moo I can print up to 50 images on the front of the card. I chose to go with 5 different looks but nonetheless I have an image to suit the particular clients I am interested in.

The luxe cards are different from the regular moo cards with a thicker paper stock, 32pt to be exact, and also an accent color in the middle. Moo calls them “The Gold Standard” of business cards. I chose blue to go along with the multi-color design from the logo.

Honestly, the only thing I would change is something I didn’t notice when I was designing the card. The small text on the bottom is too small and light for the card.

Pros
Gorgeous paper and thick stock
Accent colors
Full customization of front and back of card
Ability to customize each card free of charge
Great user shopping experience
Fast shipping

Cons
Costly

Overall Feelings
If you need business cards for anything go with LUXE you won’t be disappointed. Heck, if you are hesitant, just get the 50 card pack, it’s only $34.99. You will know once you get them, that you made the right decision and that you should order some for each team member!

If you are still on the wall, test drive moo for free!
